 Programmer (4/01-11/01): Programmed interactive kiosk for Discovery Room Exhibition, opened Summer 2001 at the American Museum of Natural History. Designed and implemented database for front end application, also a Content Management system for data maintenance. top


John Wiley & Sons, Inc.: College New Media October 1999 - January 2001
 Web Publishing Manager (10/99-1/01): Responsible for re-design and entire cycle of project development (conceptual and technical) for College division at the John Wiley & Sons web site, http://www.wiley.com/college. Managed and/or participated with various teams in business analysis, front-end production, system architecture, and software engineering. Analyzed and helped define business and e-commerce needs, created project plan and specs, architected new site organization and user interface, worked with IT and vendors in implementation and development of system architecture and software. Senior-level technical team member in installation and setup of Vignette StoryServer and Oracle/SQL database schema. Hired and managed technical vendors and production freelancers. Also performed duties as Project Manager for on-going maintenance and strengthening of existing web technologies, including improvement of QA resources and processes. Managed New Media technical staff. top


Children's Television Workshop: CTW Online July 1998 - June 1999
Technical Producer, Sticker World http://www.stickerworld.org (2/99-7/99): Central coordinator for Sticker World, an on-line community for ages 6-14 where kids collect, build web pages with, and trade e-stickers. Stickers are engaging images, animations, games, and activities with an educational challenge. Site grew 500% beyond projections in under 6 months. Managed day-to-day production, directed technical and creative members of team. Analyzed statistical data concerning usage of site. Contributed to budget, schedule, and resource allocation decisions. Led technical team of on- and off-site programmers. Continued as programmer and primary designer. top

Interactive Designer (10/98-7/99): Designed site-wide and section interfaces for various channels on the CTW web site, http://www.ctw.org. Projects include KidCity, Sticker World, and Member Center Registration, and numerous other games and activities for children, utilities and tools for adults. Managed iterative beta testing with children, interpreting and incorporating results into final designs. top

 Co-Creator(1/96-6/96): Invented a physically interactive computer game that gets the whole body involved.
