Moving Body Training:
FEELING MOVING, MOVING FEELING: the art of affect

Mary Abrams

In this weekend we will explore the biology of emotion through the affect system which flows in the central nervous system, is felt in the entire body, and is expressed most articulately in the face. Feeling and understanding the inner movement flow patterns and language of affect offers great resource for any person working toward change within themselves and/or as a teacher/practitioner with others.

Moving reverie - a luxurious time of musing, meditating, moving and expressing our living dreaming capacity.
In these intensive, we allow time and space to enter and open our hearts and our attention, into the deep fruitful dark womb of the Earth, and the vastness of the generative imaginative cosmos.

This is a call to fall into the well of origin, to rise with an original dance of individuality that has the flavor of risk, vivid vulnerability, and passionate aliveness. We are participant players in the heart of creation shaping a shared reality, and creatively participating in a contemporary culture of awakening.
This is a time of letting go, shedding old skin realities and cultural spells, AND a time of receiving inner inspiration connected to planetary wisdom, and the seeds gestating in your human heart and soul that are ready for this time of evolutionary change.
We are dwellers on the threshold—hovering on the cusp between nothing and something, - listening, expectant, available for something to emerge that has never happened before, and will never occur in that way again – like the next breath, sense impression, poetic or movement articulation.

WHAT WE WILL DO:
In deep long movement dives, we breathe, slow down, sound, listen, feel, rest into spacious silence, and deepen our capacity for fluid grounded embodiment of our creative envisioning.
Inspire our human existence with the intelligent forces of all the elements: air, fire, water, earth, and space.
In movement and reverie, we explore our night and day dreams.
Exploring dreams opens creative channels, broadens habitual perceptions, and brings insights to elaborate magic in the waking dream we call our life. Welcome our own and each other's creative expression flowering into Life.
