In this weekend we will explore the biology of emotion through the affect system which flows in the central nervous system, is felt in the entire body, and is expressed most articulately in the face. Understanding the stimulation patterns, inner movement flows, and language of affect offers great resource for any person working toward change within themselves and/or as a teacher/practitioner with others.

In this weekend we will explore Working One to One with a student or client. We will focus on how to create an environment where participants feel supported to “move” including ways to track movement, feeling, and meaning in the client while maintaining deep levels of support within as a practitioner. We will also explore ways that Continuum breath/sound and movement play can enhance every client-practitioner/teacher engagement.

Continuum Movement’s explorations invite us into an inquiry to differentiate and sense the many complex layers of our biology, this time focusing on the myriad fluid relationships inside the container of skin, muscles, bones, joints and breath. We seek to engage in a daily practice of pleasurable movement which we have found to raise our expression of health and vitality to a higher octave.
Moving into deep inner space we find the distinction between “outer” and “inner” blurred, which gives rise to a profound sense of expansiveness, belonging and connection.
BREATH will guide the way, becoming a vehicle for deep exploration through all the layers of our tissue. As we become practiced at “riding” our breath in this way, whole worlds of presence and meaning open up to us.
SOUND stimulates vibration, creating space that allows breath and fluid to penetrate. Changing densities and inner rhythms adds to the many ways we can enjoy our bodily sensations, and thereby, our humanness.
OPEN ATTENTION gives us time to track these changes and follow the undulating movements that are already present, carrying intelligence and information throughout the entire body.
As our awareness merges with these newly revealed inner territories, structural and emotional limitations begin to drop away and enhanced well-being springs forth from this carefully tended ground.
“Please join me in playing in this field of being human. I look forward to teaching again in New York City and bringing the many new concepts that Emilie Conrad and I have been exploring. These new ideas have a huge impact on my movement, thinking, feeling and breathing in everyday activities as well as athletic performance. I continue to be amazed by the way Continuum and the fluid matrix offer limitless possibilities for exploring health, restoration and the dynamic complexity of our relationships with ourselves.” Robert Litman
